Millions of Americans are about to fall out of the healthcare system because someone \u2014in a fancy suit and a cheap heart\u2014 decided there\u2019s \u201cno money.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The solution? Budget scalpels.
The diagnosis? Deficit.
The side effect? Children without pediatricians. Mothers without check-ups. Seniors without a breath of relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re told to choose between caring for the country and caring for the poor \u2014as if they were different things. As if a country without cared-for poor could still be called civilized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are no \u201cmarket miracles\u201d here. Only politicians who hand out tax breaks to giants and then ask for austerity from those skipping meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you want to know what really costs us? Cynicism.
And the cowardice of not confronting it in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This soapbox isn\u2019t a pulpit, nor a partisan platform.
It\u2019s a place for free words, where voices that don\u2019t fit headlines can rise without permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today we speak of health. But not only hospitals.
We speak of the basic right not to be discarded for lack of coverage, income, or age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because if we let that become normal, it\u2019s not just the healthcare system that breaks.
It\u2019s the pact between people who want to live together \u2014not just survive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
